State Power of Attorney Laws Chart

A Chart providing information on state power of attorney laws in all US states and the District of Columbia, including the specific power of attorney legislation in each jurisdiction and whether the jurisdiction has adopted the Uniform Power of Attorney Act (UPOAA) or has introduced the UPOAA in the legislature. This Chart also indicates whether the jurisdiction has a statutory power of attorney form, whether powers of attorney in the jurisdiction are presumed to be durable, whether a springing power of attorney is permitted under the jurisdiction's law, and whether the jurisdiction's law requires the principal to sign or initial next to certain specific powers to grant those powers to the agent, in addition to signing the power of attorney form itself.
